Ford Custom 300 Drag Car
This
cool `57 belongs to a good friend of mine, Joe Gerardi of Sebastian,
FL. He is quitting regular drag racing, and is looking to sell
his hotrod. The body has been thoroughly gone over and
repainted white with custom vinyl lettering. This lettering
can be removed with a heat gun if desired. The car is powered
by a stout 390 with Edelbrock intake and Holley carb. It has
Hedman Husler headers, and Mickey Thompson valve covers. The
chrome covers in the first engine photo are not on it any
more. Transmission is a built C6 with a 2800 stall
convertor. The car has 4.11 gear, a spool, Weld DragLites, and
wears new rubber all around. The car has super-nostalgic blue
tint windows like the gassers from the `60's. The `57 has an
Autometer tach, Crites glass hood, and an extra set of fiberglass
fenders (ready to install on the car). Also included are an
extra 390 and other assorted parts. The car shows well and has
won many awards and trophies, including winner of the `57 Ford
Shootout, and runner up in the `57 Shootout the following
year. Joe and the `57 won the super tough Nostalgia class at
the Ford Expo in 2005. The car runs in the low to mid 12 second range in the
1/4 mile. It has run faster, but not wanting to install a
rollbar is the only thing that keeps it from doing it on a regular
basis. The
car is tagged and is street driven to local shows and cruises.

Joe
is willing to part with this piece of American metal as well as
other assorted parts that accompany it. He has put a lot of
time and effort into this car. I have seen it and been
around it a good bit, and I can honestly say that it is a nice
ride, a quick ride, and Joe and company have definitely had a lot
of fun with it. Asking price is $18500
or make an offer. Contact Joe at the links below. |
